But what’s the vibe like?
In today’s social media prevalent world something that has become quite important to us is the overall experience offered by establishments, eateries, shops, etc. Yes, that cafe might serve great coffee and a banging brunch, but what’s the vibe actually like?
By sharing more and more of our lives online to hundreds, if not thousands of people we are constantly putting ourselves out there. Our limited disposable income means we are more thoughtful about where we choose to go, seeking reliable feedback from word of mouth, reviews or being completely swept away in a deluge of cinematic content.
One such person who was keen to spend her money wisely but more importantly to not only enjoy her everyday adventures, share them with the world is our very own Innovator and founder of ‘Sitch’ – Andrea.
Andrea was finding it increasingly hard to find key spots in the city of London where she had recently moved to that fit the ‘vibe’ and ‘experience’ she was looking for or hoping to have. This became an even bigger challenge when visiting friends and family put pressure on her to give them a memorable trip whenever they stayed.
Places like London are saturated with places to go, stay, eat or explore. The large city is a minefield and one Andrea started to dread, especially whenever a place she had researched to go failed to meet her expectations. Instagram versus reality comes to mind here – it’s so easy for businesses to give us false hope of what they can deliver, however the places to treasure are worth shouting about. Given all the useful apps we have come to know and love, Sitch is coming to join the fold – think Spotify, Pinterest and Opentable have combined to bring you an invaluable platform.
Before we look into more exciting stats and information about Sitch, let’s dive into Andrea’s own story…

Andrea works a full-time job but hasn’t let that get in the way of her dream to launch her business. She gets great flexibility in her current role and has learned a huge amount which she has put to making Sitch a success. She has made some very difficult decisions along the way – in fact Sitch could already be on our phones and in our daily lives, however Andrea has been incredibly smart in her decision making to ensure that being slow and steady is bound to help her win…
There is nothing like being an innovative, entrepreneur bringing an idea to life to test our patience wholly. Andrea moved to the UK at 22 years old without a huge buffer of savings, so dove straight into full-time work. Although it wasn’t her original plan, she began working for a tech firm, tiptoeing into analytics, data, working her way up quickly into management. She was learning how to bridge tech products to stakeholders, getting their buy in, trust and investment. Key, transferable skills ready to place into her own business. She also learnt some valuable lessons about customer feedback, knowing this would be key for an app like Sitch.
Any spare moment Andrea found in her busy full-time working schedule was soon being dedicated to creating her own masterpiece, especially after realising the gap was there for an app like hers.
Friends, family, work colleagues were instantly convinced once Andrea explained the premise of Sitch. They all agreed it was something we all need. Even I agreed chatting to Andrea about the chaos of my own phone – you know how it is, screenshotting places of interest, saving countless reels or posts, writing notes, ramming Pinterest boards…and yet still can’t decide where to go for a full English breakfast at 11am on a Saturday morning. To be able to collate all that information in one app, but also know you aren’t going to be disappointed or misled can help make us all a bit braver.

Let’s face it, places like London can be overwhelming. We just want to find a cosy, greasy spoon cafe somewhere to enjoy a moment alone. Take our laptop somewhere new to find motivation. Support local businesses before they are forced to close. Sitch will be there to do all of these things with us, for us. I for one am very excited for it’s arrival…
So, where does it stand? Well, as previously mentioned Andrea hasn’t quite taken the leap to work on it full-time as yet. She’s being smart, working on it bit by bit whilst financing it from her hard earned income, bringing the right people on board to help manage it’s launch, ensuring it has been tried and tested by consumers ahead of time, taking on board the feedback and making amendments along the way.
